In treating the different forms of aphasia, one has to consider the causes of the injuries in the first place. Stroke is commonly seen as a cause of aphasia and therefore many different treatments may be needed.
Wernicke's aphasia often calls for speech therapy, though the process of repetition and comprehension may be limited in verbal speech. The same can be said of Broca's aphasia injuries, which are often a lot of reading and writing exercises - as seen in Sarah's case.
In a 2012 edition of Stroke Connections, they share the uses of technology in overcoming some of the difficulties associated with stroke, including the language comprehension and production that aphasia suffers experience by using apps and programs designed to enable them more chances at re-learning language and allowing them the ability to communicate successfully, with electronics, to other people.
